The Board of Directors provides oversight to CCOC’s strategic direction, operations, and activities, and makes sure the organization is delivering its mission and values. There are 14 Board Directors, and a minimum of 3 seats are reserved for CCOC tenants. There are 2 Committees of the Board: the Executive Committee, who deal with legal matters and governance, and the Finance and Audit Committee, who deal with CCOC’s financial administration, audits, insurance, investments, and long-term viability. CCOC also has advisory committees who make recommendations on specific topics like strategy, policy, and tenant experience.
Do you share CCOC’s values, want to grow your skills, and want to be part of a dedicated community working to address housing challenges? Get involved in CCOC’s governance and have a say in decisions that impact your housing. Join an advisory committee, become a member of CCOC, or consider running for the Board at the next AGM. We are always looking for passionate folks to join us. If you would like to volunteer in CCOC’s governance or have questions, contact the TCE Department at engagement@ccochousing.org.
CCOC will help pay taxi or bus fare and/or family care for those attending Board or Committee meetings in person. Most meetings have the option to join online.
CCOC membership lets you have more of a say in decisions that affect your housing. It lets you vote for new Board Directors, and you will be notified of any membership meetings throughout the year. Membership applications for the following year open in December.
Membership applications will be available online and at the office. For more information, contact the TCE Department at engagement@ccochousing.org.
