COVID-19 Service Updates

The CCOC office has reopened for appointments and walk ins. We are open Monday- Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

What you need to know:

  • Service is also available by email, voicemail, and web forms. Leave a message for CCOC at 613-234-4065 ext. 0 or email info@ccochousing.org to discuss how we can help you during this time.
  • Please use the online Maintenance Request form whenever possible. To reduce the number of calls the Service Desk will need to respond to, use the form on our website to request maintenance services.
  • CCOC will keep tenants informed. We’re going to continue to update tenants in a timely manner about any CCOC service disruptions. Please expect updates on service in the form of posters in lobbies, emails, and the CCOC website.
  • There are safe ways to pay your rent. You can pay rent by leaving a post-dated cheque in the dropbox, by e-transfer, or by setting up Pre-Authorized Payment. For help with any of these options, please call 613-234-4065 ext. 0 or email rentcollections@ccochousing.org.

What you can do:

  • Wear a mask if you can.
  • Isolate yourself if you’re sick. Stay home if you’re having any symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Wash your hands regularly. Wash your hands with soap and water for a full 20 seconds! Avoid touching your face and cover your cough with your elbow.
  • Keep your apartment clean. Keeping your home as clean as you can helps you and everyone around you. Regular soap and water is effective against viruses. Be mindful of cleaning up after yourself in common areas.
  • Take care of your mental health. This has been a difficult time for many people for many different reasons. It’s ok to not be ok. Click here for bilingual mental health resources or here to find bilingual peer support groups.
  • Prepare. It’s good to be prepared, no matter what the emergency is. Consider stocking up on what you would need should you become sick: getting things like prescriptions, food, pet supplies, and cleaning supplies. Can you help a neighbour?
  • Be polite. Remember, we are all in this together. There is never a good reason to discriminate. Misinformation, fear, and racism are dangerous.
  • Stay informed. For up to date information on how to take care of yourself and your community, visit Ottawa Public Health’s website or the Ontario Ministry of Health’s website.

Thank you for doing your part to keep our communities safe and healthy!
