Renting a Meeting Room
Our rooms are ideal for meetings, seminars, training, children’s parties, and more. They can be booked for single events or for on-going activities. In consideration of the tenants in the building, organizers are responsible for ensuring that participants stay within the rented space and that their event does not disturb the residents. Parental supervision must be provided during any event for children. Our meeting rooms will not be rented to individuals or groups that may violate or promote violation of the rights that are guaranteed under the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Canadian Charter of Freedoms.
Tenants, non-tenants, and other groups are subject to rental fees, indicated below, as well as a separate cleaning deposit and key deposit (refunded once the key is returned and room has been inspected). A deposit is still required even if rental fees are waived.
Requests for free use of a meeting room must be made in writing and will only be considered if the group is not for profit and meets one or more of the criteria below:
- Is a community group/organization that provides services used by CCOC tenants
- Is a group/organization whose work furthers the goals of CCOC
- Tenants using the meeting room for a community meeting or tenant group activities
- Not affiliated with a political party, candidate or campaign
- Event is free of charge and open to the public
Our non-profit rate is available to tenants booking personal events, or events with free admission that are not intended to generate a profit.
The for-profit rate applies to any event where a fee is charged for admission or revenue is generated.
All commercial (for profit) bookings are required to provide proof of insurance.
