Beginner Organic Vegetable Gardening Workshop

May 11, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

We’re partnering with Just Food and the Centretown Citizens Community Association to present this workshop on beginner organic vegetable gardening.

This is an introductory workshop where you will learn about the climate and soils of Ottawa, which vegetables grow best here, and how to grow them.

The workshop will be facilitated by David Hincks. David has been doing workshops for over seven years gardeners in Ottawa and in Almonte. As an extension of these workshops, he is in the fourth year of writing a gardening column for an on-line newspaper in Almonte demonstrating what he is doing at each point in the growing season as well as writing about what is happening in the local gardening scene. David joined the Master Gardeners of Ottawa-Carleton in 2002, and served as the executive coordinator of the Ottawa-Carleton Master Gardeners during 2013 and 2014.
